Overview
The Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS) 2002/95/EC was adopted in February 2003 by the European Union. The RoHS directive took effect on July 1, 2006. This directive restricts the use of six hazardous materials in the manufacture of various types of electronic and electrical equipment.
Restricted Materials
Quantity limit 0.1% of weight (1000ppm) of any homogeneous material:
2. Mercury (Hg)
3. Hexavalent Chromium (Cr VI)
4. Flame retardants Polybrominated Biphenyls (PBB) and Polybrominated Diphenyl Ethers (PBDE)
Quantity limit 0.01% of weight (100ppm) of any homogeneous material:
'Homogeneous material' means a material that cannot be mechanically disjointed into different materials by, for example, unscrewing, cutting, crushing, grinding and abrasive processes. Homogeneous is further defined as "of uniform composition throughout".

VTE Inc. has not tested each product or additive we purchase for trace amounts of the restricted substances.
VTE Inc. has received information from our suppliers indicating that our raw materials mentioned above meet the RoHS directive.
Based upon these items, we believe the products listed above, and assemblies created from these products, to be in compliance with RoHS (2002/95/EC).
